What if you have many interests and are just mildly passionate about them? You don't know what you want to write about because you are so overwhelmed by the choices. Your passions change often. You get bored with one and move on to the next like the seasons change. What do you do? Here are 3 ideas that you can use to help you find topics to write about or even create web pages.
StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon is great for finding niches you want to write articles about. Most of us who use StumbleUpon only sign up for what currently interests us. For StumbleUpon to be really useful you should check off as many interests as you can, even if you're only mildly interested in them. Signing up for 15 or more categories is a good start. If you only sign up for 5 or 6 StumbleUpon will soon run out of web sites to show you. You can even comment on blogs (don't forget to add your URL) while you are stumbling through the web pages. Just make sure that your comments are relevant or you may be accused of link spamming and may be banned from the site.
Yahoo Answers
This is another great place to find ideas that you might want to write about. You may have to go through a lot of questions to find something that interests you. Answer questions on topics that you know about while you are searching for your niche. Sometimes just the act of doing something like answering questions will get your creative juices flowing. At the same time you can enter your web site as your source (after all your web site is you) to steer a little traffic your way.
BlogVillage - top 100 blogs
This is a good resource that will show you what people are writing about and what's popular with blog readers. I am sure that you will find other places that have lists of popular blogs too. Just do a Google search.
